Say hello to "thrive coding", vibe coding's more successful and well-liked cousin, who is capable of turning ideas into production-grade launches effectively and efficiently.
Seeing as how there is seemingly no putting on the brakes on AI advancements the way things are headed, we might as well build systems to actually perform better and hold them to higher standards.
Thanks to how bad vibe coding currently is (at making projects production-ready), engineers will still be highly valuable for now. And vibe coding does supercharge productivity for everyone involved, while they are still involved. Ultimately though, there’s all but no industry that will be safe from job displacement. We (as humans) really should start focusing a good deal on developing societal ecosystems that will be sustainable for humanity in the long run, rather than on short-term gains and shelters.
Thrive coding will serve as a transitional paradigm. As we go on, it (and its offsprings) will be good for more than just software development. Its ability to translate human requests into actions means it will gradually transform UI as we know it.
I shall continue to build thrive coding tools and frameworks as publicly as possible.
